Mobile working with Amazon Transcribe Medical now available with Epro on SBS Framework
The innovative digital dictation and transcription solution created by Epro in partnership with Amazon and Google is now available to 270 NHS Trusts as it is appointed to the SBS Framework.
In a study of seven NHS Trusts, we discovered that only twenty minutes of audio was transcribed by each medical secretary each day. Our innovative solution, depended on by over 40,000 NHS users every day, empowers medical secretaries to spend more time on their patients than their paperwork.
The highly competitive framework only opens every 5 years, to ensure that the NHS only procures from the finest suppliers in the world.
Bob Gilkes, CEO at Epro, commented: “The increasing need for mobile working requires a foundation of innovative digital dictation – just what years of Epro innovation offers. After years of positive feedback from many NHS Trusts, being appointed to the SBS Framework is another clear signal to the healthcare sector that Epro’s excellence and support focused strategy is working for clinical and support staff.”
Our clinically-led innovation has been acclaimed by NHS clinicians for being ‘a lot less time consuming’ (Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust), ‘an invaluable aid to our clinical practice’ (University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust), and ‘improving patient care and confidence’ (Musgrove Park Hospital).
Digital dictation may sound simple, but together with transcription and voice recognition services, we have demonstrated that the seamless process from dictation to transcription to letters to patients reduces administration time by up to 44%. Often the first step towards digital transformation, more NHS CEOs are examining how this foundational technology will enable accelerated home working and greater flexibility for the NHS workforce.
Our dedication to patient care has included self-funding solution development after recognising a need within NHS Trusts, and working closely with London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust during the early days of the COVID-19 outbreak – even designing and deploying new software within an hour to help deal with the demand on wards.
The SBS Framework opened with Epro on 16 June 2020, but anyone interested in finding out more can talk to Adrian about your specific needs.
Keep an eye out for an announcement in the autumn that will further change the state of the market – to be the first to know and join our newsletter.
