Chief Clinical Information Officer

The role of the Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO) is required to help further develop Epro’s existing portfolio of modular electronic patient record and clinical solutions, maintaining the company’s focus on software usability, clinical engagement and technical innovation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support Epro’s strategic direction, providing ongoing consultancy and advice on software design, clinical safety and product development.
  • Provide clinical input and validation to the current and future modular Epro solution set.
  • Work with Epro’s customers to develop new innovative ways of achieving clinical standards and efficiency benefits.
  • Act as an experienced clinical voice between Epro personnel and the company’s customer base to enable the development of strategic relationships at director and board-level, in particular with the clinical and medical community.
  • Represent Epro as part of any media activities, participating in thought leadership activity such as authored articles, speaking platforms, video/filming, round table events, webinars, media interviews/briefings, and engage where appropriate on social media channels with support of the communications director.
  • Join and participate at CCIO industry groups and forums (such as’s Industry CCIO network and the INTEROPen interoperability group).
  • Attend, network and speak at Epro-hosted events and seminars.

Line of reporting

  • The CCIO will report to the CEO and work closely with members of the executive team, including the company founder and product owner, communications director and account directors.

Requirement and Qualifications

  • Over 10 years as practising clinician, preferably in a secondary care environment.
  • A former product champion or project team member for a clinical system.
  • Hands-on experience of managing electronic health information in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • A public profile and demonstrable experience of working with the media.
  • A successful track record as a clinical leader with the appropriate gravitas and reputation.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and written communication skills.
